Doon School of Law
The Doon School of Law, a premier institution under DBS Global University, is dedicated to academic excellence and innovation in legal education. The B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A. LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D. programmes at the University are designed to equip students with critical thinking abilities, legal expertise, and professional skills necessary to excel in diverse legal careers.
With a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, research, and industry collaboration, the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. programmes offer students the opportunity to pursue dual specialisations, comprising Two Majors and one Minor Specialization in either Humanities or Management Domain and Dual Specializations in Law Domain. This distinctive academic structure enables students to develop a strong interdisciplinary foundation and enhances their career prospects, preparing them to emerge as leaders in law, governance, business, and public service. The LL.M. programme is designed to provide advanced and specialised legal education, with a focus on in-depth subject knowledge, research aptitude, and critical engagement with contemporary legal issues. The programme offers specialisations in Corporate and Banking Law, Cyber Law, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, International Trade and Economic Law, and Intellectual Property Rights. It prepares graduates for higher-level professional roles in legal practice, academia, and policy-making. The Ph.D. programme fosters rigorous, high-quality research aimed at contributing to the advancement of legal scholarship. It provides scholars with a supportive academic environment to undertake original and interdisciplinary research addressing complex legal and socio-economic challenges. The programme offers Ph.D. in diverse areas including International Law, Energy Law, Environmental Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Corporate Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), among others. The faculty comprises distinguished academicians, experienced legal practitioners, and scholars committed to mentoring students and nurturing intellectual growth.
At the Doon School of Law, all programmes emphasise not only theoretical knowledge but also practical exposure through moot courts, legal aid clinics, internships, and policy debates, thereby preparing students to effectively navigate the complexities of real-world legal practice.
