DBS Global University organised the Intra Moot Court Competition 2026 from 23 to 25 September 2026, providing law students with a platform to develop practical courtroom skills, legal research capabilities, advocacy techniques and professional confidence. Organised by the Moot Court Society, Doon School of Law, the three-day competition was designed to simulate the experience of real courtroom proceedings and encourage students to apply legal concepts beyond conventional classroom learning. The competition progressed through multiple stages, including the Researcher’s Test, Preliminary Round, Quarter-Final Round and Final Round.

Participants were assessed on their understanding of legal issues, quality of research, interpretation of law, presentation of arguments, response to questions and overall advocacy skills. Through the competition, students had the opportunity to strengthen key competencies required in the legal profession, including critical thinking, legal reasoning, drafting, research, public speaking, teamwork and persuasive communication. At DBS Global University, experiential learning forms an important part of professional education. Initiatives such as moot court competitions enable law students to understand courtroom procedures, build confidence in presenting legal arguments and develop a more practical understanding of the judicial process.

The university continues to create learning opportunities that connect academic knowledge with professional practice and prepare students for evolving careers in litigation, corporate law, judiciary, legal consultancy and other areas of the legal profession. The Intra Moot Court Competition 2026 reflected the university’s focus on developing competent, confident and professionally prepared future legal practitioners through practical and application-oriented learning.
