2011-13 was a tough year for placements as the Indian economy and industry overallhad tapering off the growth seen in the last few years. The Placement committee of students did a remarkable job of doubling their efforts to get more companies in the campus, since the no. of offerings per company had much reduced. Inspite of the slump in the market , the student committee did not invite any insurance company, any Dierect selling Agents of the Bank, or any company asking for filling of any type of bond, since the past experience of the institute revealed that there was no point in getting multiple offers if the joining rate in low in these sort of companies.

PGDM/MBA batch 2011-13 placements saw increase in the number of companies visiting the campus for recruitment. DBS even went on to assist nearby business schools for their placements by inviting their students to its DBS campus.
