The DBS School of Pharmacy and Research, DBS Global University, celebrated World Pharmacists Day 2026 on 25 September with a series of academic and student activities centred on the theme "Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures." A key highlight of the programme was an expert guest lecture by Mr. Chandra Shekhar Pathak, General Manager – Quality Assurance, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh. His interaction provided pharmacy students with industry perspectives and helped them understand the significance of quality, responsibility and professional standards within the pharmaceutical sector.

The celebration also included student activities such as presentations and reel-making, encouraging participants to communicate the evolving role of pharmacists and their contribution to healthcare. World Pharmacists Day provided an opportunity to recognise pharmacists as an important link in the healthcare ecosystem and to highlight the expanding professional opportunities within pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences. Through academic programmes, practical exposure and interaction with pharmaceutical industry professionals, DBS School of Pharmacy and Research continues to connect pharmacy education with contemporary industry requirements and healthcare needs.
