DBS Global University hosted an international masterclass on Porter's Five Forces Framework by Dr. Rajat Khanna, Director of the Full-time MBA Program at the A. B. Freeman School of Business, Tulane University, USA, on 24 September 2026. The session introduced students to the strategic framework used to analyse industry structure, competition and the forces that influence business profitability and decision-making. Rather than approaching the framework only as a theoretical management concept, Dr. Khanna connected strategy with real-world business situations, enabling students to examine how competitive rivalry, new entrants, suppliers, buyers and substitute products can shape organisational decisions.

The interactive masterclass encouraged students to think critically about markets and understand how strategic frameworks can be used to interpret contemporary business environments. The session also reflected DBS Global University's focus on providing students with international academic exposure and opportunities to interact with faculty and experts from globally recognised institutions. Such engagements strengthen the University's globally connected learning ecosystem by bringing international perspectives into the academic experience and giving management students greater exposure to contemporary business thinking, strategic analysis and decision-making.
