The Prelude 2026 induction programme at DBS Global University gave undergraduate students a lively and engaging start to their university journey. Instead of focusing only on academics, the programme combined leadership interactions, orientation sessions, skill development, technology, professional exposure, creativity, sports, and extracurricular activities.

The programme began with Registration and Document Verification, led by Dr. Rohit Rastogi, followed by the inauguration ceremony featuring Lamp Lighting and Saraswati Vandana. University leaders also interacted with parents, helping create a positive and welcoming beginning for students and their families.

A major focus of Prelude 2026 was helping students understand themselves better. The Discover Yourself sessions encouraged students to reflect on their strengths and interests. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Jasola and Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Bhardwaj interacted with students through leadership sessions. Dr. Suresh Iyer conducted the Personal SWOC – Honest Edition, giving students an opportunity to look at their strengths and areas for improvement. Faculty members also conducted domain-specific sessions for BBA, IMBA, Law, and Liberal Studies students. Students got plenty of opportunities to participate rather than simply listen. Activities such as Open Mic, Project 144, and the Beg, Borrow, steal team-building activity encouraged communication, teamwork, confidence, and creativity.

The programme also focused on creating a safe and responsible campus environment. POSH & PDA Training, conducted by Dr. Pushpa Kataria and Dr. Shalini Singh, helped students understand important aspects of workplace and campus conduct. Outdoor games and trust-building activities organised by the HR Club – Empirical Minds added a more interactive element to the experience. The Campus Clicks Photography Competition, supported by Dr. Rashmi Negi and photographer Mr. Abhishek Yadav, gave students a chance to showcase their creativity.

Technology was another important part of the programme. The DGU AI Cell's AI Foundations programme introduced students to Artificial Intelligence and its practical applications. Students also explored financial awareness through Stock Market Fun, participated in quizzes, and attended a University Examination session. The introduction of the Fit Don't Quit Club further highlighted the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle. Beyond the classroom, The Doon Darshan City Tour gave students an opportunity to explore places such as FRI and Centrio Mall while spending time with their new classmates. Sessions on social media, Personal Branding, and LinkedIn also helped students understand how to develop a professional identity from an early stage.

During Business Unboxed Domain Day, students received useful insights into student conduct, integrity, discipline, support services, and examinations. They also heard professional perspectives from Adv. Shantanu Sagar, Advocate-on-Record and Supreme Court Advocate, and Ms. Arpi Jain, Ex-Judicial Officer. The Soft Skills Team conducted a Communication Bootcamp covering speaking, listening, and presentation skills, while the Office of International Affairs introduced students to global opportunities and pathways. The final phase of Prelude 2026 continued with SAS Industry Orientation, the Law Society's Law & Legal Camera Event, faculty introductions, and information about DGU's student clubs. Fashion, music, dance, hobby activities, and sports sessions gave students another opportunity to discover interests beyond academics.

Overall, Prelude 2026 was more than an induction programme. It gave students an opportunity to meet faculty, understand university life, explore different interests, develop essential skills, and connect with their peers. By bringing together academics, leadership, AI, professional development, creativity, sports, and student activities, the programme helped students begin their Semester I journey with greater confidence and enthusiasm.
