Reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development and agricultural innovation, the university successfully organised a One-Day Faculty Training on Natural Farming. The program brought together experts, educators, and thought leaders to equip faculty members with the knowledge and practical tools needed to promote eco-friendly farming practices.

Conducted under an ICAR-funded initiative by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, the training focused on strengthening academic capacity and encouraging the integration of natural farming principles into teaching, research, and community outreach. Participants engaged in insightful discussions, hands-on learning sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities designed to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application.

The initiative enabled faculty to:

  • Develop a deeper understanding of sustainable and chemical-free farming practices
  • Integrate natural farming concepts into the academic curriculum and research
  • Promote environmentally responsible agricultural methods among students and farming communities
  • Contribute to rural development and self-reliance through skill-based education

Marking a significant step toward advancing sustainable agriculture in Uttarakhand, the training empowered educators to become catalysts for change. By translating knowledge into action, the program strengthened the region’s journey toward a greener, more resilient, and self-reliant future.

Here’s a glimpse of a day where ideas met impact.
