DBS Global University hosted an industry interaction with Mr. Arvind Kumar, Director – Refineries and Pipelines, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), New Delhi, on 24 September 2026, giving students an opportunity to learn directly from a senior leader from India's energy sector. During the interaction, Mr. Kumar shared insights into the energy industry, refinery operations, petroleum infrastructure, large-scale projects and the professional experiences that have shaped his career. With more than three decades of experience in refinery and project leadership, his interaction provided students with valuable perspectives on how large organisations operate, how the energy sector continues to evolve and what young professionals should understand while preparing for industry roles.

The session enabled students from management and technical backgrounds to connect academic learning with real-world organisational and sectoral perspectives. Industry interactions such as these are an important part of the learning environment at DBS Global University. Regular engagement with senior professionals helps students better understand workplace expectations, leadership, changing industry requirements and the skills needed to move confidently from academic learning into professional roles. The interaction with Mr. Arvind Kumar further strengthened the University's focus on industry-integrated and career-oriented education.
