The Empirical Minds HR Club recently organised an engaging series of HR learning sessions aimed at helping students gain practical exposure to modern Human Resource Management practices and evolving industry expectations. Conducted from 15th to 17th May 2026, the event featured an industry interaction session by Naukri.com and a two-day intensive HR workshop led by Dr Sapna Chopra.
The initiative focused on bridging academic learning with corporate HR practices through interactive discussions, practical activities, case-based learning, and industry-oriented sessions.
The event commenced with an industry interaction session conducted by Ms Shruti Astha from Naukri.com. Students were introduced to current recruitment trends, corporate hiring expectations, professional networking platforms, resume building strategies, and emerging career opportunities in Human Resources. The session provided valuable insights into how recruitment practices are evolving and what recruiters expect from fresh graduates entering the industry.
The two-day HR workshop conducted by Dr Sapna Chopra focused on key areas of Human Resource Management, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, employer branding, sourcing techniques, interviewing processes, and the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in HR. Through practical examples and interactive activities, students gained a deeper understanding of how HR professionals manage recruitment and employee experiences across organisations.
One of the major highlights of the workshop was the discussion on modern sourcing techniques such as LinkedIn sourcing, Boolean search, employee referrals, networking, and database searching. Students also learned about the STAR approach for behavioural interviews and explored the application of AI-powered tools in recruitment, resume screening, HR analytics, and automation.
The sessions helped participants strengthen their communication skills, recruitment knowledge, strategic HR thinking, and overall industry awareness. The workshop created an engaging learning environment that encouraged active participation and enhanced students’ professional confidence and employability skills.
The Empirical Minds HR Club expressed its gratitude to the guest speakers, faculty members, and participants for contributing to the success of the event and reaffirmed its commitment to organising more industry-focused learning initiatives in the future.
