DBS Global University hosted a Guest Lecture and Leadership Interaction for MBA final-year students, bringing industry perspectives into the classroom through a focused discussion on the "Classroom to Boardroom Bridge: Connecting Academic Theory with Industry Readiness." The session featured Ms. Aanchal Tandon, India Lead – B-School, HCLTech, and Mr. Deepak Pillai, Vice President – Sales and Marketing, RCW Technologies. Drawing on their professional experience, the speakers discussed how academic concepts translate into business decisions, workplace expectations and leadership practice. Students gained practical insights into professional preparedness, communication and the transition from management education to corporate responsibility. The interaction also enabled them to understand how employers assess attitude, adaptability and the ability to apply knowledge in real situations.

A central message of the interaction was that employability is shaped by the ability to interpret a situation and act with clarity, not merely by possessing a qualification. The speakers encouraged learners to look beyond textbook familiarity and consider how teams, clients, targets and changing market conditions influence managerial decisions. The conversation was especially relevant for final-year MBA students preparing to move from campus to corporate roles. It helped them examine the professional behaviours that support credibility in the workplace, including preparation, clear communication, ownership of outcomes and the willingness to keep learning. Industry interaction is an important part of the MBA experience at DBS Global University because it gives students access to expectations that are often difficult to understand through theory alone. Insights from leaders at HCLTech and RCW Technologies added practical context to classroom concepts and encouraged students to evaluate their own readiness for the workplace. The session reflected DGU’s industry-integrated approach to management education. Regular engagement with experienced professionals helps MBA students connect theory with practice and develop the perspective required to enter the workplace with greater confidence.
