DBS Global University hosted an expert session titled "Beyond the Balance Sheet: The Future of Finance in an AI-Driven World" on 19 August 2026, providing students with insights into the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence on finance and accounting. The session was delivered by Sri Sandilya Kalivarapu, Finance & Accounting SME – AI Model Evaluation @ Google (Contract), CMA (US), and CMA USA & ACCA Faculty. During the interaction, he discussed how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping traditional finance functions, enabling smarter financial models, improving analytical and decision-making capabilities, and changing the skills expected from future finance professionals. The session also helped students understand the real-world application of AI within finance and accounting and the evolving career opportunities emerging at the intersection of finance, technology and data-driven decision-making.

The interaction formed part of DGU’s continued focus on exposing students to contemporary industry practices and emerging technologies beyond the classroom.
