Dr. Piyush Dua has obtained Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India in 2005. After finishing his Doctorate, he had served in various institutions such as MITS Lakshmangarh, Amity University, Noida, and University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradunn & UTAS, Oman. Presently, he is working as Professor in DBS Global University, Dehradun.
He had worked as Post-Doctoral Scientist as Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Pohang, Korea. He had been awarded a project as Principal Investigator entitled Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India and another project was sanctioned by AICTE, New Delhi, entitled. Based on his work, he had published 40+ papers in refereed journals of International repute including Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio); Royal Society of Chemistry, London; Journal of Biomedical Nanotechnology; International Journal of Nanotechnology; JPCC; Chemistry and Sustainability; Physica B; etc.
He has various awards and credentials to his credit. He was selected category ‘A’ speaker by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India in “Theoretical Physics Seminar Circuit (TPSC)” in 2005 to deliver talks in IITs & NITs. In 2019, he has got the Asia award from Blackboard Company for innovation and excellence in the Blackboard global community of practice for faculty development program.
Dr. Dua has contributed as Expert Speaker in India International Science Festival, 2020 and 2021, organized by Government of India and as Expert Speaker Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and 80 Years of CSIR in 2021, Organized by AMPRI, Bhopal (CSIR Lab). Dr. Dua has been a key resource person for Quantum Computing in Indian Institute of Public Administration and other leading Universties/Organizations.
Apart from contribution in academics and research, He has been an outstanding player of Table Tennis. Recently, Dr. Dua represented team India to participate in World Veteran’s Championship, 2023 and Reached top 4 in Doubles (Consolation).
