DBS Global University conducted a mock drill on 10 September 2026 to strengthen emergency preparedness and reinforce the importance of a calm, coordinated response during an unexpected situation. The exercise familiarised members of the University community with basic response procedures, safe movement and the need to follow authorised instructions during an emergency. It also offered an opportunity to observe coordination and identify areas in which communication and response practices can be further strengthened. Mock drills are an important part of campus safety because they translate written procedures into practical awareness. Regular participation helps students, faculty members and staff understand their responsibilities and respond with greater discipline rather than uncertainty. A safe learning environment depends on preparation before an emergency occurs. Drills create awareness of response routes, communication protocols and the importance of avoiding panic.

They also help institutional teams review how information is shared and how people move through common campus spaces when time and coordination matter. The exercise supported a culture in which safety is understood as a collective responsibility. Students, faculty members, administrative teams and support staff all contribute to an effective response by remaining alert, following instructions and reporting concerns through the appropriate channels. For DBS Global University, student experience includes the systems that protect well-being as much as the academic and co-curricular opportunities that support growth. Regular preparedness activities demonstrate that campus safety is part of responsible institutional management and not simply a procedural requirement. Through preventive exercises and continued safety awareness, DGU remains focused on maintaining a responsible campus environment in which preparedness is treated as a shared institutional commitment.
