The Doon School of Future Skills, in collaboration with the Bulls & Bears Club, recently organised an intensive 10-hour workshop titled “Capital Market Dynamics: Navigating Modern Investment Landscape.” The workshop brought together finance students for an immersive learning experience focused on understanding the rapidly evolving world of investments and financial markets.
The session was led by CA Vatsal Khemka, CFA, Lead Analyst at VK Wealthwise. Drawing from his extensive industry expertise, he introduced students to practical approaches used by professionals in today’s capital markets and highlighted the growing importance of analytical thinking in investment decision-making.
Throughout the workshop, students explored key aspects of modern finance, including the impact of global trends on market volatility, emerging investment instruments beyond traditional equities and bonds, and practical methods of equity research, valuation, and risk assessment. The sessions were designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry practices, enabling students to gain a deeper understanding of contemporary investment landscapes.
Speaking on the significance of such initiatives, the organisers emphasised the importance of industry-aligned learning experiences in preparing students for dynamic and competitive financial careers. The workshop reflected the institution’s continued commitment to experiential learning and industry integration.
The Doon School of Future Skills and the Bulls & Bears Club expressed their gratitude to CA Vatsal Khemka for sharing his valuable insights and appreciated the active participation of students that contributed to the success of the event.
